What are the astrological houses?
If the signs describe the style of an energy and the planets describe what that energy is, the houses describe where it all plays out in your life. There are twelve houses, just as there are twelve signs, and together they slice your chart into the practical arenas of being human: your money, your home, your relationships, your career, your inner world and more. How the houses checker works

Angular, succedent and cadent houses
The twelve houses fall into three groups by how active they are. Angular houses (1, 4, 7, 10) are the powerhouses, tied to action and big life pillars. Succedent houses (2, 5, 8, 11) are about building and holding on to what the angles begin. Cadent houses (3, 6, 9, 12) are about learning, adapting and processing. Planets in angular houses tend to shape your life most visibly.
